Treasury and securities Investment Services
The Treasury and Marketable Securities Department oversees the management of S.B.I's investment portfolios. It is also responsible for maintaining the Company’s liquidity through interbank money market transactions.
Additional services provided include:
- Receiving customer deposits.
- Conducting foreign exchange transactions (spot and forward) and trading in futures and options, either for the bank’s own account or on behalf of clients.
- Processing money transfers and collections on behalf of customers.
- Executing trades in marketable securities for clients.
- Managing mutual fund investments.
Backed by its strong internal expertise and substantial financial capacity, the S.B.I Branch in Bahrain is well-positioned to deliver effective and timely commercial and investment services to its clients, as described above.
When customer financing needs exceed the allowable limit for a single obligor, the Branch's management may coordinate syndicated financing arrangements in partnership with other banks and serve as the Agent bank. Likewise, S.B.I may also participate in syndicated facilities arranged by other banks, provided these align with its investment strategy.
